Changelog: New Player, API, and Expanded Voice Cloning
We're excited to announce that we've just released a major update to our AI-powered audio CMS.
This update includes a new BeyondWords Player, REST API, and voice cloning support for several new locales.
New BeyondWords Player
The new player represents a radical evolution in our approach to user experience.
We rebuilt it from the ground up, introducing powerful new features such as floating widgets, playback from segments, intuitive playback controls and more.
Floating widgets allow you to listen to audio in a floating window, so you can keep browsing while you listen.
Playback from segments lets you click on a paragraph to start listening, turning the article itself into an interactive player.
We believe that the new player is the best way to listen to audio on the web. It's more powerful, more flexible, and more user-friendly than ever before.
To get started, install the new player or update to the latest version of the WordPress plugin.
New REST API
Like the player, we rebuilt our API from the ground up, making the entire platform headless.
The new API in itself introduces a tonne of new features. You can now use the API to manage projects, content, rules, voice issues, webhooks, playlists, ads, analytics, languages, voices, RSS feeds, media uploads and much more without having to use the dashboard.

Voice cloning support for new locales π³π΄ π©π° πΈπͺ π©πͺ
We're excited to announce that we have expanded our voice cloning capabilities to include Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, and German. This means that we can now offer voice cloning in the following languages and their locales: English, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, German, and Afrikaans.
Our professional voice cloning service is limited to enterprise customers. This is because we manage the process end-to-end to ensure that the voices are premium, natural-sounding, and production-grade.
Other changes:
- We rebuilt the WordPress Plugin (4.0) on the new API and made it easier to start using the new BeyondWords Player in WordPress.
- We added the option to customize language and voice settings for individual posts in WordPress.
